This Amboyna burl as bamboo ferrule imitation pipe was one of my very first tries to work on decorative ferrules. I made this pipe in 2005, but run out of time and left unfinished. In 2006 Chicago Show I was just walking between the isles showing pipe around. I don't know what Wolfgang Becker did see there, but he demanded to buy this unfinished pipe from unknown pipe maker like me. Thanks to Wolfgang Becker I was officially in business. My road to development as pipe maker has been rocky ever since, but I'm over it and I'm here to stay.
